Another bad night's sleep last night, a combination of sunburn, being too hot, too cold and dehydration - must get the air conditioning setting right tonight. We had breakfast and returned to bed for a couple of hours to catch up on some sleep. I didn't dare expose my back to the sun today so opted to spend most of it in a hammock at the waters edge in the shade of the trees, reading. We made sure we drank lots of water and had a really nice (non-alcoholic) fruit punch as we whiled away the afternoon.
Later in the afternoon the resort staff organised a game of volleyball between themselves and the guests and I joined in for a while eith some of the other guests - Fiji Vs Rest of the World! Needless to say they beat us quite succinctly.
In the evening there was another beautiful sunset but I missed the point when the sun actually touched the horizon - there's normally some low cloud that obscures this moment and it doesn't happen very often. I've never seen this happen and with my habit of photographing sunsets I was quite looking forward to seeing one here. Maybe tomorrow.
This evening I had another steak for dinner (this time with a nice peppercorn sauce) and Sarah had a vegetarian pizza that was so big and combined with her starter means there's now half a pizza in the fridge in our room for a snack tomorrow. We finished the night off with a cocktail each in the bar and chatting with Grant and Rosie, a couple from Sydney who are staying here and the only ones it seems to enjoy a drink beyond the end of their meal.
